International Year of Chemistry, 2011 - October 2011

International Year of Chemistry is a global celebration devoted to chemistry and its role in the well-being of society.


This recognition for chemistry was made official by the United Nations in December 2008. Events for the year are being coordinated by IUPAC, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, and by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization.



Through events at the local, provincial, national, and international levels, organizers hope to spark enthusiasm for this central science in all people, of all ages.

Chemistry for Technologies group organize special events:


for students of all ages.

About 3000 students are already registered to participate to the event.

During these events gadgets of COSMOS project will be provided to all students.
